DESCRIPTION:
French brass carriage timepiece with original carrying case retailed by Mappin Brothers, 66 Cheapside, E. C. [London], in a Corniche case with fancy handle, C.1900
CONDITION:
gilt brass case in nice condition with some dings and scratches from use, and wear to high spots. Original porcelain dial is perfect and the hands are original; note there is some dirt on both dial and front glass. Beveled glass in the rear door has a corner chip. The other glass panels are fine. Platform escapement is intact and running. Carrying case is pretty good with leather missing on the top. Ht. 6".
